Sir,
I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of
your letter of the 10th instant, No.41133/04 on the
subject of an Interpreter's allowance to Major J.J.O'B.
Sexton, 110th Mahratta Light Infantry, while acting as
Commandant of a camp in which Russian Officers and men
are interned, and to acquaint you that this officer draws
his pay and allowances in accordance with Indian Army
Regulations.
I am therefore to suggest that the opinion of
the India Office should be obtained as to the rate
admissible for Major Sexton whilst employed on the
duty referred to.
